What Kind of Dress Shoe Should a Man Wear

Gentlemen, when you are looking for a new dress shoe there are many options out there that are not attractive.

Characteristics to Avoid:

• The rubber sole that comes up and swallows the shoes with tread on the back of your heel, ugly.

• A pointy toe, I prefer this look for a woman.

• Tassels

• White or cream decorative thread on black shoes.

What to look for:

• Something different and unique to spice up your normally plain outfit.

• Understated stitched black leather loafer like Eccos or Kenneth Cole Reaction

• A sturdy shape to the shoe vs. too curvy a shape

• Darker brown decorative thread on a brown shoe

Reminder, you should always have one brown pair of shoes and one black pair of shoes. In general, do not wear a brown shoe with a black-based outfit and do not wear a black shoe with an earth tone or mostly brown-based outfit.
